Our Vision
My Peace we will help you prepare for the future and help speed the discovery of new personalized medicines that are best suited to your own body. Additionally, you will be contributing to the following:
- Accelerating research efforts to understand disease mechanisms and treatments
- Benefit from future cell-based therapies and accelerate their development
- By contributing to biomedical research, you will improve the wellbeing of many people worldwide※ 1
※1 The donation of iPSCs to directly advance research is possible only with your consent
A platform linking patients and researchers to dramatically
advance research
By democratizing access to iPSC manufacturing, we will build a platform that integrates individuals, research institutions, and healthcare. Together, we will create a world where new therapies and drugs are rapidly developed through connection of all stakeholders. This is the future of I Peace.
For example, pharmaceutical companies and research institutions are conducting research on various diseases, trying to develop new treatments and new drugs. However, progress is limited by the availability of cell samples that can be collected from any one patient. Indeed, a personal cell sample may not be enough for even one study, in one single institute. This makes it impossible to expand the scope of a study or allow for others around the world to reproduce or advance the research results. Without renewable sources of accessible patient cell samples, there is a chronic shortage of research materials, which slows research and development efforts. Many of the inquiries received by I Peace are from patients expressing an eagerness and hope to advance research by providing their iPSCs to research institutions, but find it difficult as a potential donor to make such a connection with a research institution. We aim to bridge the gap between a potential donor’s goodwill and the needs of research institutions.
Since iPSCs can proliferate indefinitely, a patient’s iPSCs can be grown in large quantities before differentiating into various cell types. In this case, any type and number of cells needed for research could be obtained from a renewable source on demand to accelerate research.
Similarly, to drive advances in personalized regenerative medicine, I Peace aims to provide donors with accessible and affordable clinical-grade personal iPSCs, and with your consent, provide your cells to pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, or for joint development programs with I Peace. We believe this partnership, facilitated by I Peace, will accelerate the realization of personalized and autologous transplantation and regenerative medicine for various diseases—bringing new cell-based therapies to patients in need as soon as possible.
